Summer Bucket List Auburn/Opelika

Have you ever made a Family Summer Bucket List? Our family makes one every year! It lists fun things to do while the days are long, sunshine abounds, and boredom is easily found! Our list includes fun things to do at home, fun things to do around town, and fun things we may want to venture to! This year I wanted to share our Auburn/Opelika Summer Bucket List! Whether you are young or old, many things on this list can fill your summer days! Go Explore, Enjoy your Summer, and Make Memories!

• Cornhole tournament with family and friends
• Chopped Challenge (2 teams compete by making a meal with specific ingredients to win a summer surprise)
• Run thru Sprinklers
• Make Homemade Ice Cream
• Drive in Movie
• Water Balloon Fight
• Park date with friends
• Picnic on Samford Lawn
• Read some books
• Watch Fireworks (Opelika Fireworks are on July 3; Auburn Fireworks are on July 4)
• Day on Lake Martin
• Dance in Rain
• S’mores/Campout
• Sleepover
• Root Beer Floats
• Watch a Sunset and/or a Sunrise
• Visit the Zoo in Montgomery
• Putt Putt
• Bowling
• Bingo Night
• Eat Dinner Outside
• Movie Marathon Day (Raining day)
• Build a fort inside
• Bluebell Ice Cream Tour
• Sewing Day
• Visit Atlanta (Coca-Cola Musuem, M&M Musuem, Aquarium)
• Summer Concert Nights in Opelika at Monkey Park on Tuesdays
• Visit Birmingham (shopping, zoo, etc)
• Go to the movies
• Complete 3 puzzles
• Food Truck Fridays in Opelika (1st and 3rd Friday every month)
• Auburn University Farmers Market (every Thursday 3-6 pm at Red Barn)
• City Market (every Saturday 8-11 am at Town Creek)
• Visit and Explore Chewacla State Park
